Virginian-Pilot, The (Norfolk, VA) - Friday, July 17, 1998 
Lena Vayo Lotz, 94, formerly of Virginia Beach and Weems, Va., widow of Peter
Paul Lotz, died in Richmond on July 15, 1998.

She is survived by three nieces, Marjorie V. Conner of Richmond, Constance V.
Neunz of Virginia Beach and Barbara V. McGowan of Rogue River, Ore.; two
nephews, Henry L. Vayo of Venice, Fla., and Thomas Blile of Canton, Ohio; a
sister-in-law, Mary Lotz Kauffmann, formerly of Virginia Beach; six
grand-nieces; and eight grand-nephews.

Her remains rest at Joseph W. Bilile Funeral Home, Augusta Ave., Richmond, where
the family will receive friends on Friday at 7 p.m. followed by a Christian wake
at 7:30 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday in
Saint Peter Catholic Church, 8th and Grace streets, Richmond, followed by
interment at Mount Calvary Cemetery . Her nephew, the Rev. James Kauffmann,
pastor of St. Mary Catholic Church, Ladysmith, Va., will preside. In lieu of
flowers, memorial donations may be made to Saint Mary Catholic church, P.O. Box
396, Ladysmith, Va. 22501.
