RICHMOND, VA - WILLS AND ESTATES - Sarah Austin, 15 Jul 1809

IN THE NAME OF GOD AMEN, I Sarah Austin of the City of Richmond and State of
Virginia do hereby make this my last will and testament.

1st, I desire that all my estate be immediately sold after my decease, and out
of the monies arising therefrom, all my just debts and funeral expences be
paid.

2nd, After the payment of my debts and funeral expences, tis my desire that my
money may be put out to interest, for the use and benefit of my son John
Austin, which principle and interest may be applied towards the necessary
maintenance and suport of my said son, as my Executer hereafter named shall in
his opinion think proper.

3rd, That if any monies remain in the hands of my Executer when my son comes
to the age of twenty one years that then it shall be paid over to him.

4th, That in case my son dies before the money is expended, and before he
comes to age, tis my desire that the money then on hand be given to my sister
Fanny Mountcastle's daughter, Susan.

5th, And lastly, I do hereby constitute and appoint my friend Joshua West of
the City of Richmond and State of Virginia Executor to this my Last Will and
Testament, revoking all others heretofore made.

AS WITNESS my hand and seal this fifteenth day of July 1809.

                          the 15th day of August 1809

This Will was proved by the oaths of William Gibb and Joseph West, witnesses
thereto and ordered to be recorded.  And on the motion of Joshua West, the
Executor therein named, who made oath thereto, and together with William Gibb,
his security entered into and ackowledged, a bond in the penalty of one
thousand dollars, conditioned as the law directs, Certificate is granted him
for obtaining a Probat for the said Will in due form.
