RICHMOND, VA - WILLS AND ESTATES - James Dunlap, 11 Apr 1806 --------------¤¤¤¤¤¤-------------- IN THE NAME OF GOD AMEN, I James Dunlap of the City of Richmond and State of Virginia being weak of body but of perfect strength of mind, and memory, do make and ordain this to be my last will and testament in manner and form as follows: First, I recommend my soul to God who gave it. Secondly, I wish my body to be interred in Richmond Church yard. Thirdly, I commit and entrust the care and management of my dear little children to my affectionate and beloved wife knowing from appearance that the control of a prudent mother over her children have had the most satisfactory effect on their religion morals and education. Fourthly, I give and bequeath to my dearly beloved wife all my earthly estate consisting of fee simple estate goods chattles &c for the benefit of her and my dear little children. And on the motion of William Long who made oath according to law, and together with Henry Harvey, his security entered into and acknowledged, a bond in the penalty of four thousand dollars conditioned, as the law requires, Certificate is granted him for obtaining Letters of Administration on the Estate of the said James Dunlap, deceased, with the said Will annexed in due form.
