The J. N. Hartman Cemetery is a private one.  It is not fenced and is not well 
kept. (1937)

HISTORICAL SIGNIFICANCE:

George S. Hartman married Catherine Shortzer, December 5, 1837.  Catherine, the 
wife of J. N. Hartman was the daughter of Jacob Garst who lives near here.
