Cemetery Location:  Up Martin’s Creek, 1 mile from Bent Mountain Road, north 
                    side of creek, 13 miles from Roanoke, Virginia.
                    Roanoke Co., Virginia

DESCRIPTION:

This cemetery is private and is fenced.

HISTORICAL SIGNIFICANCE:

There are no inscriptions at this cemetery.

Abraham Martin and Margaret Shortzer were married in 1841.

Elmore and Otey Martin, sons of Abraham Martin did not return from the War.  One 
was last seen near Charlottesville, Virginia.

Two daughters of Abraham Martin died during the War.  One, Luticia, was born 
July 27, 1850.  Another, Louisa, was born February 28, 1853.
