Thomas ROANOKE -- Helen Fitzgerald Thomas, 94, died Saturday, Nov. 30, 2002. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles "Ed" Thomas. She is survived by one brother, Edwin M. Ftizgerald of Bristol Virginia; six nieces, Joyce Hutson of Gainesville, Ga., Shirley Stalder of Los Altos, Calif., Sarah Turner of Cumberland, Va., Sandra Parsell of Bristol Virginia, Susan Fitzgerald of Georgia and Donna Fitzgerald of Bristol Tennessee; special cousin, Peggy Thierry of Roanoke; sister-in-law, Eunice Barton of Roanoke; and 19 great- nieces and great-nephews. Graveside services will be conducted 2 p.m. Monday, Dec. 2, 2002, at Sherwood Memorial Park with the Rev. James Angle officiating. Lotz Roanoke Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
