Browning of Roanoke, Roanoke County, Va. being of sound and disposing mind and mindful of the uncertainties of life, do hereby make, publish and declare this to be my last will and testament, hereby revoking any and all other wills or testaments by me at any previous time made. First I desire that all my just and honest debts be paid, if any I owe at the time of my death. Second I desire that my diamonds, consisting of three rings and a broach, be sold and the amount received from the sale thereof be given to Home and Foreign missions of the Southern Presbyterian Church of Montgomery County, Virginia. Third I nominate and appoint as the executor of this my will my son, Jas. Browning, Jr. of Elizabethton, Tenn. and C. A. Dennis, Pocahantas, Va. Fourth I will and bequeath all of my property in Tennessee, both real and personal to my three children equally, Reba Browning Koontz, Jane Browning, and Jas. Browning, Jr. I hereby direct that the lease of my son Jas Browning, Jr. on the theater building in Elizabethton be extended for a period of ten years following my death. The said Jas. Browning, Jr. to take care of all taxes, repairs and upkeep and that he pay to each one of my daughters, Reba Browning Koontz and Jane Browning the sum of one hundred dollars each month during the period of his lease. I will and bequeath to my three children to share and share alike all my property both real and personal in the City of Roanoke, Va. I will and bequeath to my three children heretofore mentioned one fourth interest each in all my property located in Tazwell County, Va. And the other fourth of said property to be divided equally between my two grandchildren, James Trotter and William Trotter. This property, however, to be held under lease for a period of five years following my death before a division of same is to be made. The entire rest and residue of my estate both real and personal, I will and bequeath forever to my three children, Reba Browning Koontz, Jane Browning and Jas. S. Browning, Jr. to share and share alike. In witness whereof I hereunto subscribe my name and affix my seal to this my last will and testament which is witnessed by my direction at Roanoke in Roanoke County, Virginia this 17th day of October, 1932 Ollie H. Browning The above signature of the testator, Ollie H. Browning was made and the foregoing will was acknowledged by the said Ollie H. Browning in the presence of two competent witnesses present at the same time; and we the said witnesses, do hereunto subscribe the said will in the presence of said testator and of each other and at the request of said testator, this 3d day of November, 1932. At a Hastings Court continuing and held in and for the County of Roanoke in the State of Virginia at the Courthouse thereof, on the 25th day of April, 1933. This day a paper writing purporting to be the last will and testament of Ollie H. Browning, deceased, was presented to the court and said writing was proven according to law by the oath of N. W. Phelps, one of the subscribing witnesses thereto, who made oath that the testatrix, Ollie H. Browning signed, published and declared the said writing as and for her last will and testament in his presence and in the presence of the other subscribing witness and that he and the other subscribing witness, at the request of the testatrix, in her presence and in the presence of each other, signed the said writing as subscribing witnesses thereto. Whereupon it is ordered that the said writing be admitted to probate and record as and for the true last will and testament of said Ollie H. Browning, Deceased. Wereupon, Jas. Browning, Jr. and C. A. Dennis, the executors named in the said will are permitted to qualify as executors and are required to enter into bond before the clerk of this court, with good security in the penalty of $3000.00 exhibited according to law. Whereupon the said James Browning, Jr. and C. A. Dennis together with their security, New York Casualty Co. entered into and acknowledged a bond in the penalty of $3000.00 payable to the Commonwealth of Virginia and conditions as the law directs. And the said Jas. Browning, Jr. and C. A. Dennis took the oath provided by law. Upon motion of Jas. Browning, Jr. and C. A. Dennis, Executors of Ollie H. Browning, Deceased, J. H. Matthews, N. W. Phelps, R. F. R___, E. E. West, Jr. and T. L. English, any three of whom may act, are appointed as appraisers of the estate of the said Ollie H. Browning, deceased. A copy, Teste: R. J. Watson, Clerk of the Hastings Court of the Cty. of Roanoke, in the State of Virginia do hereby certify that the foregoing is a true and perfect copy of the Will of Ollie H.
