WATERS, James, (Pat), 59, of Roanoke, passed away Sunday, November 
4, 2001 at his home. He was the owner of Great American Vacations. Pat was 
a ten-year veteran of the Armed Forces and was still involved with the local U.S. 
Marine Corps. He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Mary Waters, 
and a brother, Tom Waters. Surviving are his wife, Susan H. Waters; two daughters, 
Tracy Harding of Roanoke, Angela Holland of Botetourt County; a stepson, Gregory 
Hodges of Roanoke; a stepdaughter, Gina Perez of Boston, Mass.; three special 
grandchildren; two brothers, Mike Waters and wife, Ann of Hudson, N.C., John Waters 
of Phoenix, Ariz. The family wishes to give a special thanks to Dr. Jorge Rivera at the V.A. 
Medical Center. Funeral services will be conducted at 12:15 p.m. Wednesday from Saint 
Andrew's Catholic Church with Father Randy Rule officiating. Interment with military rites 
will follow in Evergreen Burial Park. A Prayer Service will be conducted at 8 p.m. Tuesday 
from Oakey's Roanoke Chapel with Mr. Philip Gallagher officiating. Friends may call at 
Oakey's Roanoke Chapel.
