(Abstract)

        12 September 1853  Same vs. Same

        Addison Vess, George W. Vess, Samuel Vess, William Vess,
William Alphin assignee of Archibald D. Rowsey and Mary his wife,
Adam Wilhelm and wife,Andrew Hayslett Trustee to Elizabeth Morris
for her own share, Hiram Vess, Andrew Hayslett Trustee of Elizabeth
Morris for Andrew Vess share, Elias Vess and John Vess do each pay
$16.81 as payment of the costs of the suit and of the debt due J & J
Poague.

        Hiramıs debts to Adam Wilhelm and Margaret his wife & John
Morris & Elizabeth his wife have not been paid.

        Sheriff John F. Shields of Rockbridge after 30 days notice
in newspaper to sell at public auction, the lot of land assigned to
Hiram Vess in the division of the land, designated as Lot #3.  If
not sufficient commr to sell on same terms lots of George W. Vess,
Addison Vess & Samuel Vess, they being sureties of Hiram Vess in his
administration bond.
