Know all men by these presents that I John McCoy of Rockbridge County and State of Va for and in consideration of one hundred & fifty Dollars the rent of the place he lives on for three years and also for and in consideration of services rendered by Thomas McCoy to me and my family in removing to this Country I have given granted bargained & Sold and by these presents do give grant bargain and sell unto Thomas McCoy One mare and Coalt four head of horned Cattle all my household & Kitchen furniture a loom & utensils belonging thereto one ax & mattock two weeding hoes two small rings and two wedges, & six head of hoggs.
