(Abstract) 10 April 1890 Levi Vest and Elizabeth Vest his wife of Rockbridge County, VA to Hiram Levi Vest of Rockbridge County, VA. In consideration of $5.00 and the agreement on the part of Hiram Levi Vest to do three things as follow: first, to assume and pay all the debts of the said Levi Vest; second, to support for and during their natural lives the said Levi Vest and Elizabeth Vest, his wife; third, to support during his natural life Saml. Alexander Vest, son of the said Levi and Elizabeth Vest. The parties of the first part convey with general warranty unto Hiram Levi Vest a tract of land containing 320 acres more or less, adjoining George Cunningham, E. A. Moore, Geo. Vest, and others. The land is on both sides of the road called ³Robinson¹s Gap Road² leading from Loch Laird Station on the Shenandoah Valley Railroad to the City of Lynchburg, VA and is the same land on which the said Levi Vest now resides. The parties of the first part covenant that they have the right to convey the said land, that they have don no act to encumber the same, that the grantee shall have quiet possession of the said land free from all liens and encumbrances and that they will execute such further assurances of the land as may be requisite.
