     J. Daniel Falby Homestead Exemption
     Claim homestead in real and personal estate against debt demand or claim.
     Includes a certain tract of land now occupied by myself in Rockbridge on
the upper end of Buffalo Creek, near Pullens Church.  Adjoining the lands of
James Sanford, William Deakon's and others.  Containing 168 Acres worth about
$800.00.  On which there is a lein of $280.00 unpaid, leaving my present
interest in this land $520.00.
     Exempts personal property values at $676.50.

North 74 1/4 deg., West 11 poles to a white oak on sd. Taylor¹s
line.
North 9 deg, West 80 poles to a Spanish oak corn Wm. W. Davis.
North 80 deg, East 16 1/2 poles to a chestnut stump and suckers on a
line with sd. Davis.
South 14 3/4 deg, East 62 poles to Bush pointers on line with Davis.
South 33 3/4 deg, East 18 poles to pile of stones and pointers on
line with Davis
South 26 1/2 deg, West 25 1/2 poles to two small chestnuts corner
Stuart Taylor.
North 23 3/4, West 14 1/4 poles to beginning.
        Paid $225.00, according to Articles of Agreement entered

Article of Agreement referred to in foregoing Deed, (Abstract)

9 March 1870
Frederick Mohler and wife of first part and James F. Nutty of second
part, all right and title to tract of land in Rockbridge adjoining
W. W. Davis and Stuart Taylor and said to contain 11 1/2 acres more
or less, known as the David Davis decíd tract.  For consideration of
$225.00.
        Frederick Mohler and wife agree to take bonds executed to
said James F. Nutty by David Firebaugh of same county at various
dates for the sum of
$407.00, and further agree after the specified sum of $225.00 shall
have been deducted from the amount herein mentioned to pay the said
James F. Nutty the balance on said bonds at such times as may suit
the said
Frederick Mohler and wife.
        James F. Nutty agrees to all of the above stipulations &
conditions.
