Rockbridge County, VA Deed Book SS, pp. 109.

29 September 1879
	James A. Ford, Jacob M. Potter and Rachel Potter, his wife and
Nicholas Carter and Mary J. Carter, his wife to William Ford.
	James A. Ford for $500.00, grants unto William Ford his interest
in the following land:  bounded by Lyns, James Drain (mentioned Bald
Hill), Thos. Alphin, corners J. M. Potter (mentioned Cold Hole),
Armstrongšs line, Sam Lee, corner of Carteršs field, public road.
	Jacob M. Potter and Rachel his wife, grant unto William Ford
their interest in above land. (Land was that of James Ford decd).
	Nicholas C. Carter and wife, Mary J. grant their 4 acres of land
to Wm. Ford, etc.
