This indenture made this third day of September in the year of our Lord one thousand Seven Hundred and ninety three between Thomas Lacky attorney in fact for Nathan Lacky Both of the County of Rockbridge and State of Virginia of the one part and William Ramsey of the same place of the other part. Witnesseth that the said Thomas Lacky for and in consideration of the Sum of Two Hundred pounds current money of Virginia to them in hand paid and by virtue of the power afforesaid from Nathan Lacky to convey unto the said William Ramsey one certain track or parcel of land containing one hundred and Ninety acres. The said Thomas Lacky hath bargained and Sold to the said William Ramsey and his heirs the land afforesaid Lying in the County of Rockbridge and Both sides of Elk Creek and is bounded as followeth, viz, Beginning ay two hickryes and a Black Oak and runeth North Seventy five degrees west fifty six poles to a Black oak North twelve degrees west one hundred and eighty four poles to two dogwoods and Red oak North sixty one degrees East thirty six poles to a pine North seventy one degrees East forty poles to a hickory North eighty two Degrees East seventy eight poles to two white oaks South sixty Degrees West Ninety six poles to the beginning. Together with all its appurtanences to the said William Ramsey to have and to hold the said land with its appurtenances to the said William Ramsey and his heirs and assigns for Ever and the said Thomas Lacky by virtue of the power affore said. Doth covenant Land with its appurtanaances to the said William Ramsey and his heirs that the said track of Land and its appurtanaances to the said William Ramsey and his heirs against all persons or person whatsoever will warrant and defend by these presents.
