 At the bequeath of James Bridget I have examined the scars and disease of his 
leg; which he says was broken by a ball at the Battle of Guilford--it is very 
evident that the leg has been much injured and the bone broken--and from the 
appearance it now has I do suppose that it must be very much disabled--and that 
it probably will become more and more diseased.  Certified by S. L. Campbell  
  
  I do certifie that Samuel L. Campbell is the surgeon of the regiment in 
Rockbridge County.  Charles Campbell
