ROCKBRIDGE COUNTY, VA - MILITARY - James Bridget, Revolutionary War Disability Affidavit --------------¤¤¤¤¤¤-------------- REVOLUTIONARY WAR DISABILITY AFFIDAVIT - JAMES BRIDGET Source: Library of Virginia Digital Collection Bridget, James Pen 47 1807-1809 Soldier Rockbridge County At the bequeath of James Bridget I have examined the scars and disease of his leg; which he says was broken by a ball at the Battle of Guilford--it is very evident that the leg has been much injured and the bone broken--and from the appearance it now has I do suppose that it must be very much disabled--and that it probably will become more and more diseased. Certified by S. L. Campbell I do certifie that Samuel L. Campbell is the surgeon of the regiment in Rockbridge County. Charles Campbell Contributor's Note: Other documents hard to read but James Bridget served under Grant Bratton, Col. Blineford? and Col. Thomas Bourjen?. ___________________________________________________________________ Copyright.
