Mauck Submitted by: ChazTuna (ChazTuna@aol.com) Harry Ross Mauck, 81, died in the C&O Hospital Sunday morning. He was born in Page County, May 5, 1877, a son of the late James Ira and Phoebe Ann Shenk Mauck. A retired turbin engineer with the West Virginia Pulp and Paper Company, he was a member of the Covington Baptist Church and the 100F Lodge No. 23. He had been a resident to Covington for 54 years, having come here from Luray. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Lemma Tolley Mauck; two brothers, Robert Mauck, Luray and Ed C. Mauck, Covington; three sister, Mrs. J. W. Huffman and Mrs W. L. Vines, both of Luray and Mrs. J. W. Madden, Emigsville, Pa. His body was removed from the Loving Funeral Home to the home at 238 E. Main Street this morning. A funeral service will be held Tuesday, Jan. 20, at 2 p.m. from the Covington Baptist Church, conducted by his pastor, the Rev. Ryburn T. Stancil. Burial will be in Cedar Hill Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be: Virgil Keyser, W. M. Harmon, James B. Johnson, Edgar Harding, E. G. Snyder, B. A. Bradbury, W. L. Knick and Grover Barrett. Vernon, Jacob Bender, Ralph Kellison, Paul Radford, Ward McDaniel and members of the MenŐs Bible Class of the Covington Baptist Church and 100F Lodge No. 23. ******************************************************************** LOTTIE DOVE MUTERSPAW OBITUARY Submitted by Louise Perkins perkins@digital.net 21 Jul 1981, Lexington, VA- Lottie Dove Muterspaw, age 86, died Monday, July 20, at the Stonewall Jackson Extended Care Facility. She was the widow of the late Raphael E. Muterspaw. Mrs. Muterspaw was born on April 21, 1901 in the Collierstown area of Rockbridge County, the daughter of the late Samuel Houston Wilhelm and Nannie Cummings Wilhelm. Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. Frank (Wanda) Beard, Lexington; one sister, Mrs. Elmer Smith, Covington; one grandson, Daryl Beard, Orlando, FL; and several nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be conducted on Wednesday afternoon at 2 p.m. from the New Monmouth Presbyterian Cemetery with the Reverend Wray Sherman officiating. The family will receive their friends from 7 until 8 p.m. on Tuesday at the Harrison Funeral Home in Lexington. ************************************************************************** LINDA ENTSMINGER MYERS OBITURARY Submitted by Louise Perkins perkins@digital.net Buena Vista, 26 Nov 1991-Linda Entsminger Myers, 45, of Buena Vista, died Sunday. She was born January 4, 1946 in Rockbridge County, a daughter of Mrs. Janie Entsminger Underwood of Millboro. Mrs. Myers was a member of Lexington Baptist Church. In addition to her mother, she is survived by her husband, Hugh C. Myers of Buena Vista; one son, John Calvin Myers of Covington; one daughter, Crystal Elaine Myers of Buena Vista; two brothers, Larry Entsminger of Millboro and Gene Entsminger of Lynchburg; and her stepfather, Elbert Underwood of Millboro. The funeral service will be conducted Thursday at 11 a.m. from Lexington Baptist Church with the Rev. Robert Leonard and the Rev. George Warden officiating. Interment will be made in Millboro Christian Church Cemetery, Millboro. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 7 until 9 p.m. at the Harrison Funeral Home, Lexington.
