Ruley, 1997 All rights reserved.] ************************************************************************** ************************************************************************** 2nd day of April, 1805 George Parsons and Esther Anderson Know all men of these presents that we George Parsons and Jno Parsons his father are held and firmly bound unto John Page, governor of the commonwealth of Virginia or his successors in the just sum of one hundred and fifty dollars, to which payment, will and truly, to be made so said Governor, we bind ourselves, our heirs, executors and administrators jointly and severally formerly by these presents. Witness our hands and seals this 2nd day of April, 1805. The condition of the above obligation is such that, whereas there is a marriage shortly intended to be solemnized between the above named George Parsons and Esther Anderson, Daughter of James Anderson of Rockbridge County. If therefore there shall be no lawful cause to obstruct the same, then the above obligation to be void other wise to remain in full force and virtue. Signed George Parsons John Parsons Witnessed: A.
