        Transcription of Marriage Bond of William Miller and Elizabeth
Lecky reads:

Know all men by these Presents that We William Miller and James Lecky
are held and firmly bound unto the Commonwealth of Virginia in the just
sum of Fifty pounds Currency. To the payment whereof will and truly to
be made we do bind ourselves our Heirs Exr. and Admr. jointly &
Severally firmly & these presents. Sealed with our seals and dated the
25th Day of June 1784.
        Whereas there is a marriage shortly intended to be Solemnized
between
the above bound William Miller and Elizabeth Lecky daughter of Thomas
Lecky of the County & Parish of Rockbridge.
        If therefore there shall be no Lawful cause to ......Marriage
then......to be void or els (sic) to remain in full force.

        We hereby certify that William Miller doth purpose (sic) Marriage
With
My Daughter Elizabeth and we do give her with full consent and Do Not
fail to Give him linence (sic) and this shall be your sufficient
