Witness our hands & seals this fifth day of February 1799. The condition of the above obligation is such that wheras there is a marriage shortly intended to be solemnized between the above bound Jonathan Paxton & Agnes Gilmore-- daughter of William Gilmore of Rockbridge County if therefore there shall be no lawful cause to obstruct the same then this obligation to be void or else to remain in force.
