Ruley, 1997 All rights reserved.] ************************************************************************** *************************************************************************** GEORGE UNROE AND BETSY TRIBBETT, 31 August 1824 KNOW ALL MEN BY THESE PRESENTS, That we: George Unroe and John Tribbett of Rockbridge County are held and firmly bound unto James Pleasants Junr Governor of the Commonwealth of Virginia in the just and full sum of one hundred and fifty dollars. To which payment well and truly to be made to the said Governor and his successors in office for the use of the said Commonwealth. We bind ourselves our heirs, executors and administrators jointly and severally, firmly by these presents. Witness our hands and seals this 31st day of August 1824 The condition of the above obligation is such, that whereas a marriage is shortly intended to be had and solemnized between the above bound George Unroe and Betsy Tribbett daughter of sd John Tribbett If there is no lawful cause to obstruct the same then the above obligation to be void, otherwise to remain in full force and virtue.
