Gilmer Esquire, Governor or Chief Magistrate of Virginia, in the just and full sum of One Hundred and Fifty Dollars: to which payment well and truly to be made, to the said Governor and his successors, for the use of the Commonwealth, we bind ourselves our heirs, executors and administrators jointly and severally, firmly by these presents. Witness, our hands and seals this 15th day of March 1841. The condition of the above obligation is such, that whereas a marriage is shortly intended to be had and solemnized between the above bound William Ford and Rebecca Tolley daughter of William Tolley of Rockbridge County.
