Daughter Sally- negro slave Hetty (16 years old) a horse, saddle, and bridle, 2 cows, 2 beds and bedsteads and bedding, 1 bureau and 6 chairs, at age 21 or at marriage. Daughter Jane Mackey- negro girl Carroline, a horse, saddle and bridle, 2 cows, 2 beds and bedsteads and bedding, 1 bureau and 6 chairs at age 21 or marriage. Daughter Susan- negro slave Ann (5 or 6 years old) and same as other daughters. My three daughters to havepriveledge of my home plantation as long as they remain single. Son Hugh W. Mackey- the part of my plantation adjoining his own from Lyn corner to line of Robt. Willsons. 2 shares in Lexington and Covington Turnpike. Son James S. Mackey Jr- all residue of land or plantation adjoining Samuel Hamilton's land, Benjamin Black and others. 190 acres more or less. Also my silver watch, clock and my negro named Davidson (age 16) and my negro woman Cera, mother to Davidson. Son John W. Mackey- my home plantation (184 acres more or less) at age 21 years. To pay each of his sisters, Sally, Jane, and Susan, $200.00 each. Also my negro boy George (9 or 10 years old) and my other mantel clock. Residue of property consists of 1 negro woman Becky, and a negro child Harriet, all my household and farming utensils, horses, cows, and all other property and farming utensils, horses, cows, and all other property to be sold and applied to payment of my debts. Susan Hutchison's Will (Transcription) [Submitted by Kate Knox for use in USGenWeb Archives SKnox48900@aol.com] I Susan Hutchison of the County of Rockbridge and State of Virginia do hereby make my last Will and Testament in the manner following Viz: The money I have out at interest to be collected and all my just debts and funeral expenses paid, then I bequeathe to my brother Robert Hutchison one hundred dollars. I bequeathe to my nephew William Hutchison one hundred dollars. I give to my nephew Robt. Hutchison Jr. one hundred dollars and to my sister Nancy Hutchison fifty dollars, and to my nephew John Adams (son of John Adams decsd) two hundred and fifty dollars, to my nephew Hugh Adams one hundred dollars, to my niece Jane Trevy I give and bequeathe two hundred dollars. My will is that if there should be any of the money lost, the legatees shall each receive their proportional part according to the sums left to cash of them and if there should be more than is devised, they shall receive in addition, in the same proportion to what is left to them severally. Lastly I constitute and appoint William Hutchison (my nephew) executor of this my last Will and Testament hereby revokeing all former Wills by me heretofore made.
