The cemetery is at the base of the Massanutten Mountain just below Lairds Knob and about 11/2 miles southeast of the intersection of route 620 and route 724 at Stonegate, northeast of Keezletown, Rockingham Co., VA. The cemetery is very difficult to locate as it is isolated in a wooded area. The approximate geographic coordinates are 38 degrees 26 minutes 55 seconds north latitude and 78 degrees 45 minutes 15 seconds west longitude. The headstones are as follows: David Whitmore Born Aug 15, 1740 Died Aug 15 1819 Maria Whitmore Born Aug 11, 1760 Died Feb 1, 1833 Sarah Whitmore Born May 6, 1805 Died Sept 6, 1845 There are several unmarked stones of which one is believed to belong to Benjamin Whitmore Born 1795 Died July 10, 1855 Provided by James O.
