Hollar to Hollar - 1901 - Rockingham Co., VA This Deed made this the 20th day December 1901 between George G. Grattan, special Commissioner in the chancery cause of Noah E. Hollar Creditor v Noah E. Hollar Admntor pending in the circuit court of Rockingham County if the first part & David M. Hollar of the second part Witnesseth - that whereas the said David M. Hollar party of the second part became the purchaser of the land of N. E. Hollar dec'd. sold in said chancery cause of Noah E. Hollar creditor v Noah E. Hollar admntor under a written contract of date the 16th of April 1901 filed in said cause, which contract of purchase was confirmed by decree of the court rendered in said cause on the 23rd day of April 1901 and whereas by decree rendered on the 14th day of October in said cause, George G. Grattan was appointed a special commissioner to the execute to said David M. Hollar a deed for said land as soon as the purchase money was paid and whereas the whole of the $2500 of purchase money has all been paid, now therefore this deed witnesseth that the said George G. Grattan special Commissioner as aforesaid for and in consideration of the premises & of one dollar in hand paid doth grant with special warranty of title unto the said David M. Hollar all of the following described tract or parcel of land lying in Rockingham County Va. adjoining the lands of B. A. Showalter, D. M. Hollar & others and bounded as follows. Beginning at a stone in the public road leading by the dwelling house of the late David Hollar, thence S 35 W 87 poles the division line, thence S 36 W 87 poles to a rock in B. A. Showalteržs line, thence with his line S 50 E 80 poles to a rock, thence N 45 E 158 poles to a rock at or near a spring on the south side of the road, thence N 27 W 16 poles less two links to a stone, thence N 52 W 34 poles to a rock, thence N 54 W 26 poles to the beginning containing 94 acres more or less, and being the same tract of land which was assigned to Noah E. Hollar in the division of the land of David Hollar decžd recorded in the county clerks office in deed book No 61 pages 367-8, subject to and including all rights reserved in and to the family grave yard & right of way there to provided in said division of the lands of David Hollar decžd.
