Deeds, Book 32, p. 136, recorded 17 June 1859 Abstracted 3 March 2001 by Judy Kellar Fox, 9395 SW 190th Ave., Aloha, OR 97007, foxkellar@compuserve.com "This Deed Made the 19 day of May 1855 Between Mary Margaret Lee, the widow of Samuel Lee) Ann Lee Elijah Lee, Eli Tutwiler and Lucy Jane his [wife] (formerly Lucy Jane Lee) James Lee, Mary Frances Lee, John Lee Jeremiah Lee Nancy Smith (formerly Nancy Lee) heirs and representatives of Samuel Lee deceased all of the County of Rockingham and State of Virginia of the one part And Daniel May of the County and State afforesaid of the other part Witnesseth that the said, Mary Margaret Lee, Ann Lee, Elijah Lee, Eli Tutwiler and Lucy Jane his wife, James Lee, Mary Frances, John Lee, Jeremiah Lee, and Nancy Smith for and in Consid eration of the sum of one Dollar cash in hand paid by the said Daniel May the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, do grant unto the said Daniel May a certain house and Lott in the town of Mt Crawford Containing one fourth of an Acre and lying between John Miller and Henry B. Jones and running with the Alley leading to the New GraveYard and is the Same property which was conveyed to Samuel Lee Deceased by George Ireland and Phobe his wife by Deed bearing Date the fifteenth day of October 1853 and Duly recorded in the Clerks office of the County Court of Rockingham, and the said, Mary Margaret Lee, Ann Lee, Elijah Lee, Eli Tutwiler and Lucy Jane his wife, James Lee Mary Frances Lee, John Lee, Jeremiah Lee and Nancy Smith releases unto the Said Daniel May all their Claim or claims upon the said house and Lott, and the Said Mary Margaret Lee, Ann Lee, Elijah Lee, Eli Tutweler and Lucy Jane his wife, James Lee, Mary Frances Lee, John Lee, Jeremiah Lee, and Nancy Smith do covenant with the Said Daniel May that they will warrant Generally the house and Lott herein con veyed and that they have a right to convey the same to the Said Grantee and that the said Grantee Shall have quiet possession of the Said house and Lott, Free from all encumbrances of incumbrances and that they will execute such further assurances of the said house and Lott as may be requisite and that they have done no act to encumber Said property Witness the following Seals and Signatures, her Mary Margaret X Lee (seal) her mark Ann X Lee (seal) mark E.
