VanPelt of the other part both of the County of Rockingham and State of Virginia . Witnesseth that the said Jacob Vanpelt for and in consideration of the sum of one dollar in hand paid, the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, and in further consideration of love and affection he bears toward his nephew A.J. VanPelt party of the second part by reason of his many acts of kindness doth grant unto the said party of the second part after the death of himself and wife all his interest in a tract of land purchased of Martin Neff by deed of conveyance of record in the clerks office of the County Court of Rockingham County bearing date on the __day of __186_ to which reference is hereby made for more minute description of the premises herein conveyed. In witness whereof we have hereunto set our hands and seals the day and year first above written. Jacob VanPelt A.J. VanPelt Clerk's office October 22nd 1866 This deed from Jacob VanPelt to Andrew J. VanPelt was this day presented and acknowledged by the said Jacob VanPelt & A.J. VanPelt before me Deputy Clerk of said Court. Teste Wm D. Trout D.C. In the Office aforesaid July 15 1867 This deed was this day again presented in the office aforesaid and being duly acknowledged by the parties hereto is together with the certificate hereon endorsed admitted to record Teste L.W.
