Jacob Whitemore Land Office Treasury Warrant - 1798 - Rockingham Co., VA James Wood Esquire, Governor of the Commonwealth of Virginia, To all to Whom these Presents shall come, Greeting: Know Ye, That by virtue of a Land Office Treasury Warrant Number Seven thousand two hundred and sixty three, issued the sixth day of March one thousand seven hundred and eighty two there is granted by the said Commonwealth, unto Jacob Whitemore A certain Tract or Parcel of Land, containing five acres by survey bearing date the seventeenth day of November one thousand seven hundred and eighty three, lying and being in the County of Rockingham between the land of Henry Black, Philip Keplinger and his own and bounded as followeth to wit Beginning at two White Oaks corner to his own Land, and with a line of the same S 81E 80 poles to two Locusts, S 14 W 2 poles to a black oak on a line of Black's land, and with his lines West 52 poles to two black oak saplings S 24 # 48 poles to three White Oaks corner to Keplingers land, and with a line of the same N 38 W 74 poles to the Beginning with its Appurtenances; To have and to hold the said tract or parcel of land with its appurtenances, to the said Jacob Whitemore and his Heirs for ever.
