{7 Mar 1954} Honor Mr. and Mrs. Minnich On Their 50th Anniversary Mr. and Mrs. E. Luther Minnich, of Mt. Crawford, celebrated their 50th Wedding Anniversary March 7 at their home. The guests were received by Mr. and Mrs. Minnich and Mrs. Lilly Cline, who was a bride's maid at their wedding. Mr. and Mrs. Frank Showalter, Mrs. Nora Holsinger and Mrs. Jennie Coakley were also present at the wedding. The centerpiece was a novel arrangement representing four generations. There were two yellow roses representing the first generation; four yellow carnations representing the second; nine yellow jonquils the third; and three yellow nosegays representing the fourth generation. Cake was served by Mrs. Mary Ann Mynes, Lois Gainer and Mrs. Lucille Minnich. Mrs.Henry Graham presided at the punch bowl. Miss Jean Swartz was in charge of the guest book, and Mrs. Margaret Back and Miss Anna Lee Minnich received the gifts. Mr. and Mrs. Minnich were united in marriage March 1, 1904 at Mt. Clinton by the Rev. J. H. Brunk, Mr. Minnich celebrated his 83rd birthday on their anniversary. Musical numbers were given during the evening by Mr. and Mrs. Richard Gainer and Miss Violeen Gainer. The celebration ended with prayer by the Rev. George Widmyer of Mt. Clinton.
