Ada Virginia Galladay Obituary - Rockingham Co., VA Mrs. J. W. Golladay Mrs. Ada Virginia Golladay, 71, widow of John W. Golladay and a resident of Harrisonburg, died early Thursday morning at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Claude Minnick. Mrs. Golladay was born in Shenandoah County, Jan. 14, 1891, a daughter of Jacob W. and Elizabeth McNeil Dingledine. She married Mr. Golladay in 1907 and he died in 1945. Mrs. Golladay is survived by the following children: Mrs. Leah Minnick, Mrs. Ruth Whitmer, Mrs. Thelma G. Ritchie, all of Harrisonburg; Melvin and Ralph Golladay, both of Waynesboro; two sisters, Mrs. Lottie Weatherholtz, of Centerville; and Mrs. Nettie Walters, of Staunton, Mrs. Golladay was employed at the Rockingham Memorial Hospital for the past 16 years. She had resided in New Market but moved to Harrisonburg about 1918. Mrs. Golladay was a member of the Muhlenberg Lutheran Church. A funeral service will be conducted Saturday at 3:00 p.m. from St. Martin's Lutheran Church near New Market. The Rev. Dixon Taylor and the Rev. H. A. Schenk will have charge of the services with burial in the Zirkle Cemetery, near New Market. The family and friends will meet at the home of Mrs. Thelma Ritchie, 815 Country Club Road, 2:00 p.m. Saturday. The family requests that flowers be omitted and that contributions in lieu thereof be given to the March of Dimes.
