Widow of Joseph Effinger Succumbs to Complication of Diseases. ARTICLE: Mrs. Elizabeth Effinger, widow of Joseph S. Effinger, died shortly after 9 o’clock yesterday morning at her home on West Wolf street. She had been in frail health for some time and was confined to her bed almost continuously since her return to Harrisonburg less than three weeks ago, from a visit to relatives in Bath county. Her death was due to a complication of diseases involving the lungs and heart. Mrs. Effinger, whose maiden names was Smith, was a native of Bath county, but for a long time made her home in Bridgewater prior to her marriage to Mr. Effinger, whom she survived fifteen or twenty years. She was from early womanhood a consistent member of the Methodist church. She leaves two brothers and a sister, all of whom live in Bath county. The funeral will be held at 10 o’clock this morning from the Methodist church.
