Funeral at Harrisonburg Methodist Church Today at3 o’clock. ARTICLE: Mrs. Minnie C. Harrison, a former resident of Harrisonburg, died Wednesday night at her home at Emporia, Va. The body will arrive in Harrisonburg today and the funeral will take place at the Methodist church this afternoon at 8 o’clock. Mrs. Harrison was the widow of William C. Harrison, who was a descendant of the founder of the town of Harrisonburg. They resided for many years in this place and many of our older citizens will remember them. While in Harrisonburg they occupied for a time a house on the site where the post office now stands. They also lived on Court Square and on South High street. Deceased was a daughter of George Willis, who died in Harrisonburg a good many years ago. She was married at the home of her relative, M. J. Martz, near Lacey Spring, in January, 1869. Surviving are three children—Bruce, George, and Miss Myra, the last named being a frequent visitor in the home of S. O. Bowman, in the Melrose neighborhood.
