Tutwiler obituary - Rockingham Co., VA Mrs. A. G. Tutwiler Dies, Aged 66 Yrs. In Failing Health for Several Years -- Born in Pleasant Valley Section. Mrs. A. G. Tutwiler died Saturday morning at 10:45 o'clock at her home near Pleasant Valley. She had been in failing health for several years and was sixty-six years old. Funeral services were conducted Sunday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock from Spaders Church by Rev. G. B. Fadeley, of Churchville, and Rev. D. Frazier, of Pleasant Valley. Interment was made in the Spaders Church cemetery. The active pallbearers were: William Ed Whitesel, E. G. Shifflett, C. E. Yeakle, J. A. Shoemaker, Newton Charlton and N. A. Lineweaver. The following six grandchildren of the deceased, carried the flowers: Evelyn Sandy, John Albert Myers, Margaret Sandy, Vernon Sandy, Wilda Sandy and Pauline Tutwiler. Mrs. Tutwiler was born near Pleasant Valley, December 31, 1858, and was a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. A. D. Heatwole. During her entire life she was a devoted Christian, holding her membership with the Whitesel's United Brethren Church, now known as Mount Hebron. She was a good woman, stood high in her community and was respected and esteemed by a large circle of friends. She was a devoted wife and mother. Surviving Mrs. Tutwiler are her husband and five children as follows: Mrs. A. A. Mouse, of Canute, Okla,; Mrs. T. G. Sandy, of Pleasant Valley; C. T. Tutwiler, of Dayton, Ohio; Mrs. j. H. L. Myers, of Oxford, N. C. and Luther A. Tutwiler, of Pleasant Valley. She also leaves two brothers and three sisters; Mrs. Fannie Wenger, of Montezuma; John A. Heatwole, of Orrville, Ohio, and Mrs. Sallie S. Brenneman, of Elida, Ohio. A brother, H. A.
