John H. Wheelbarger Obituary - Rockingham Co., VA John H. Wheelbarger Dead Aged Resident of Clover Hill Passed Away at His Home Yesterday Morning. John H. Wheelbarger, a life long and well known resident of near Clover Hill, passed away yesterday morning at 4 o'clock, after a lingering illness of tuberculosis, together with the infirmities of old age. He was the son of the late Samuel Wheelbarger, who was a resident of Clover Hill, He was 73 years, 11 months and 27 days of age and had served in the Confederate army throughout the Civil War. Since early childhood he had been connected with the Dunkard church and was considered one of its most valuable and devoted members. He is survived by his wife, who was a Miss Long before marriage, and seven children: Mrs. Louisa Weymer, of New Mexico; Mrs. Mary Boon, of Stephens City; Mrs. Annie Hilbert, of Clover Hill; Charles at home; Martin, of Indiana; John, of Detroit, and Adam, of Baltimore. He also leaves three sisters: Mrs. James Gladden, of Lima, Ohio; Mrs. W. H. Rumsey and Miss Eliza Jane Wheelbarger, of near Clover Hill, and two Brothers, G. B. and Joseph Wheelbarger, of Rushville. The funeral services will be held to day, the party meeting at the house at 9 o'clock, from the Briery Branch church at 10:30 A. M. The services will be conducted by Rev. Abraham Thomas.
