Rockingham County VA; Will; Winnie Frances Lam 1916 Last will and Testament of Winnie Frances Lam, wife of Isaac Jackson Lam Book #9, pages 324 & 325 I Winnie F. Lam of Elkton, Rockingham County state of Virginia, make this my last will and testament, hereby revoking all former wills made by me, I give to my husband Isiac J. Lam all my estate both real and personal, to have and to use during his natural life, and after his death, to be equally divided betwen six of my children, viz: my four sons, Jack Lam, George Lam, Chap Lam, and Ashby Lam, and two of my daughters, Annie and Victoria. These six are to share equally in the division of my estate both personal and real after the death of my husband. Lilly Bell Mowbray and Clem Mowbray two of my daughteres have been purposely cut out in making this will. It is provided that in making this will that in the event that my husband Isiac J. Lam shall become disabled after my death, so as to make it necessary for him to sell one of my vacant lots situated in Elkton Va in order to obtain support, in that event I direct that he my said husband shall have the right to sell and convey by deed, one of my vacant lots as above described, and use the proceeds as he may wish, provided however that the lot upon which my dwelling is situated shall not be sold by him, and after his death disposed of as above provided. Lam, deceased, was presented in the Clerks office of the Circuit Court of said county, on May 20th, and being fully proven by the oaths of H. B. C. Gentry and Herbert L. Miller the subscribing witnesses thereto, and the state tax thereon having been paid, said writing is admitted to record as the true last will and testament of Winnie F. Lam deceased. Atteste J I.
