Ball ABINGDON -- Ms. Kimberly (Kim) Denise Ball, 24, formerly of Russell County, Va., passed away Monday, March 10, 2003, from injuries received in an automobile accident. A life long resident of Russell County, she was the daughter of James Harold Ball and Janice Carol Ball of Route 2, Cedar Bluff. She was preceded in death by her son, Israel Lambert; her maternal grandparents, Clyde W. Cox and Hazel P. Cox; and her paternal grandparents, George W. Ball and Nannie Louise Ball. She attended the Freewill Baptist Church at Elk Garden. She is survived, in addition to her parents, by one brother, James (Jamie) H. Ball Jr. of the home; one sister, Cheryl A. Ratliff and husband James A. Ratliff of Belfast, Va.; and two nieces, Angela (Angie) N. Ratliff and Alyssa B. Ratliff, both of Belfast. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday, March 14, 2002, in the Singleton Funeral Service Chapel in Cedar Bluff with Rev. Larry Robinson and Rev. Ronald Ward officiating. Burial will follow in the Greenhills Memory Gardens Cemetery at Claypool Hill, Va. Pallbearers will be Eddie Ball, Emmit Addington, Ronnie Cox, Jonathan Lambert, R.B. Lambert and Greg Webb. Honorary pallbearers will be Jamie Ball and Randy Spencer. The family will receive friends at the Singleton Funeral Service in Cedar Bluff from 6-9 p.m. Thursday.
