Survivors include his wife, Katherine Kiser Barger; two children, Jamie and Kimberly; his mother, Charlotte McConnell Barger; three sisters, Debbie Pearl, Mt. Gilead, Ohio, and Louise Howard and Tillie Young, both of Pilgrim, Ky.; three brothers, Ed McCoy, Maryville, Ohio, and Kenny McCoy and Billy McCoy, both of Richwood, Ohio; special friends and pallbearers, Jason Wallace, Dale Amburgey, Mathias Mills, Donnie Hyder, Nelson Righter, James Simpkins and Antoine Courtney, all of Coeburn. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, Dec. 17, 2002, at 2 p.m. at Estes Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Willie Stanley officiating. Burial will follow in the Greenwood Memorial Gardens in Coeburn. Visitation will be held at Estes Funeral Home on Monday after 6 p.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the family.
