Coleman HONAKER -- Mr. Delmas J.W. Coleman, 61, of the Wysor Valley section, died Saturday, Jan. 18, 2003, at a Richlands hospital following a brief illness. He was born in Buchanan County, Va., and was a son of the late Johnny and Ethel Dye Coleman, both Buchanan County natives. He had made his home in the Buchanan County area most of his life, moving to Russell County 12 years ago and was a disabled coal miner with Doris Coal Company in Grundy, Va. He was of the Freewill Baptist faith. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two infant children; two sisters, Nola M. Hess and Janive Perkins; also three brothers, Hubert, Junior and Donald Coleman. Survivors are his wife, Mrs. Bonnie Sue Baldwin Coleman of Honaker; one son, Rodney Coleman of the home; two sisters, Mrs. Thelma Meadows of Doran, Va., and Mrs. Velva Meadows of Garden Creek, Va.; and two brothers, Mr. J.R. Coleman of Thompson Valley, Va., and Mr. Eulis Coleman of Garden Creek. Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday at 11 a.m. at the Hurst-Scott Funeral Chapel in Richlands with Rev. Eugene Miller and Rev. Bill Crawford officiating. Interment will follow in the Hess Family Cemetery on Millers Creek near Swords Creek, Va. Friends and neighbors will serve as pallbearers. Friends may call at the Hurst-Scott Funeral Home in Richlands after 6 p.m. Sunday. Hurst-Scott Funeral Home in Richlands is in charge of arrangements.
