Eric F. Combs
    STAUNTON, Va. -- Eric Franklin Combs, 21, died Thursday, Jan. 2, 2003, at
home.
    He was born in Russell County, Va., and was a graduate of Castlewood High
School. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Loyd and Bonnie
Herron; and maternal grandmother, Doris Anderson.
    He is survived by his father, Roy Franklin Combs of Staunton; mother,
Vicky Evans and stepfather, Michael Evans of Castlewood; paternal grandfather,
Roy Combs of Castlewood; maternal grandfather, William Anderson of
Dickson,Tenn.; one sister, Amy Salyer of Jonesborough, Tenn.; and one niece.
    Funeral services will be conducted Sunday, Jan,. 5, 2003, at 8 p.m. in
Castlewood Funeral Home Chapel, Castlewood, with Rev. Con Edwards officiating.
Committal services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, Jan. 6, 2003, in Temple
Hill Memorial Park, Castlewood. The family will meet at the funeral home and
go in procession to the cemetery, leaving at 10:30 a.m. Monday. Pallbearers
will be Tim Taylor, James Caudill, Shannon Hall, Tim Robinson, Deric Ruff and
Matt Dixon.
    The family will receive friends Sunday, Jan. 6, 2003, from 6 to 8 p.m. at
Castlewood Funeral Home, Castlewood. Condolences may be sent to the Combs
family via e-mail to condolences@castlewoodfuneralhome.com. Castlewood Funeral
Home is in charge of arrangements.

at 11 a.m. Monday, Jan. 6, 2003, in Temple Hill Memorial Park, Castlewood. The
family will meet at the funeral home and go in procession to the cemetery,
leaving at 10:30 a.m. Monday. Pallbearers will be Tim Taylor, James Caudill,
Shannon Hall, Tim Robinson, Deric Ruff and Matt Dixon.
