She was a lifelong resident of Russell County and a member of Reeds Valley Community Church. Born on Feb. 3, 1934 she was the daughter of the late James and Maggie Breeding Dotson. She was also preceded in death by seven brothers, Gilmer, Ralph, Billy, James W. (Dot), Sonny, Jimmy and Dewey Dotson; four sisters, Alice Dale, Mary Belle, Lillian Jane and Hazel. Survivors include her husband, Scott Dye, sons, Bobby Joe Huffman, Buford Huffman, Clyde Huffman and Ricky Huffman, all of Cleveland, Va., Gary Lynn Huffman and wife, Denise of Castlewood, Va., Wayne Dye and wife, Anita of Cleveland and Scottie Dean Dye and wife, Glenda of Lebanon, Va., daughters and sons-in-law, Bertha and Robert Smith, Margaret and James Singleton, Jr., Lisa and Donald Singleton and Debbie and Jeffrey Duty, all of Cleveland, sister, Mildred Puckett of Lebanon; 26 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren; two special nephews, Michael Puckett and Eugene Dotson. Several nieces and nephews also survive. Pallbearers will be grandsons, nephews and friends. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, Jan. 8, 2003 at 2 p.m. at Owens Funeral Service Chapel with the Rev. Duane Musick, the Rev. Jimmy Huffman and the Rev. Guy Harris officiating. Interment will follow at Dye Family Cemetery, Cleveland, Va. The family will receive friends Tuesday after 6 p.m. at the funeral home. Owens Funeral Service, Lebanon, Va., is in charge of arrangements.
