Ferguson HONAKER -- Mr. Charles W. Ferguson, 60, passed away Wednesday, June 4, 2003, in a Lebanon hospital. Born Jan. 3, 1943, in Richlands, he was a son of the late Ralph Burns and Hazel Marie Thompson Ferguson. A lifelong resident of the Honaker area, he was a 1962 graduate of Honaker High School. He had served in the U.S. Army for two years having been stationed in Germany. He was the maintenance superintendent with the Virginia Department of Transportation at Blackford since 1998 and had been employed with VDOT since 1965. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Honaker, the Honaker Lions Club, Honaker Christmas Parade Committee and the Honaker Redbud Committee. Survivors include his wife, Judy Carol Ferguson of the home; one daughter, Andrea Ferguson of the home; and one brother, Jimmy Ferguson and his wife, Shirley of Scott Depot, W.Va. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday in the Honaker Funeral Home Chapel, Honaker, with Rev. Mike Ward and Brother Les Ritchie officiating. Interment will follow in Ketron Memorial Gardens at Lebanon. Pallbearers will be Larry Fields, David Hart, Bob Taylor, Jack Thompson, Danny Clark, William Counts, Jim Kiser and Christopher Taylor. Honorary pallbearers will be the VDOT employees of Blackford and Lebanon, the Honaker Lions Club and the men of the First United Methodist Church. Friends may call at the Honaker Funeral Home after 6 p.m. Friday.
