Greear COEBURN -- Franklin D. Greear, 60, went to be with the Lord Saturday, Jan. 18, 2003, at Holston Valley Medical Center in Kingsport. Mr. Greear was retired from a career in the automobile industry. He was preceded in death by his mother, Lydia Ellen Greear Carico. Survivors include his wife, Virgie Craiger Greear; three daughters, Kay Stout, Knoxville, Wanda Miller, Abingdon and Patty Grills, Kingsport; four sons, Norman Greear, Thomasville, N.C., and Ray Greear, Harold Greear and Travis Greear, all of Coeburn; five brothers, Jon Kennedy, Kim Kennedy, Carroll Kennedy, Randall Kennedy and Wade Kennedy; one sister, Jane Kennedy; 11 grandchildren; several nephews; and several nieces. Funeral services will be held Monday, Jan. 20, 2003, at 2 p.m. at Estes Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. R.L. Crawford, Rev. Ray Craiger and Rev. Donnie Pickett officiating. Entombment will follow in the Temple Hill Memorial Park in Castlewood. Visitation will be held at Estes Funeral Home on Sunday after 6 p.m.
