Hamilton ST. PAUL -- Fred V. Hamilton, 62, died on Tuesday, Dec. 3, 2002, at Norton Community Hospital, Norton. He was born in Wise County, Va., the son of the late Everett and Dixie Meade Hamilton. He was preceded in death by one brother, Lynn Hamilton; one sister, Betty Weddle; and one grandson, Travis Kennedy. He is survived by two daughters, Janet Beavers and husband, Carl of Castlewood, and Tammy Kennedy and husband Mike of St. Paul; one sister, Belva Lawson of Nicklesville, Va.; one brother, James Hamilton of Valparaiso, Ind.; five grandchildren, Christy Shortridge and husband Chuckie, LeAnne DeLeon and husband Adam, Kim Beavers, Tabitha Kennedy and Kayla Kennedy; three great- grandchildren, Natasha Shortridge, Jessica Shortridge and Samantha DeLeon; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted Friday, Dec. 6, 2002, at 11 a.m. in the Castlewood Funeral Home Chapel, Castlewood, with Rev. Mike Moore officiating. Interment will follow in Temple Hill Memorial Park, Castlewood. Pallbearers will be Dee Ramsey, Larry Trent, Harold Meade, Brian Mitchell, David Mefford and Eddie Beaver. The family will receive friends on Thursday, Dec. 5, 2002, from 6 to 9 p.m. at Castlewood Funeral Home, Castlewood.
