Laforce LEBANON -- The funeral service for Lois Chafin Laforce will be conducted at 8 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 17, 2002, in the Combs Funeral Service Chapel with the Rev. Bobby Turner and the Rev. Leonard Ferguson officiating. Burial will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 18, 2002, in the Temple Hill Memorial Park in Castlewood. Those attending should meet at the funeral home by 10:15 a.m. to go to the cemetery in procession. Pallbearers will be Don Chafin, Dean Chafin, Rick Hackney, Mark Hackney, Jim Fields, Roger Meade and Woody Hackney. Honorary pallbearers will be Dr. Guy Tillinghast, Jeff Owen, Dr. Hughes Melton and Elmer Saddler. The family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home and at the home of Woody and Myrtle Hackney in Carbo at other times. Mrs. Laforce, 68, died Sunday, Dec. 15, 2002, in the Grace Health Care Center in Abingdon after a long battle with cancer. Combs Funeral Service is serving the Laforce family.
