Born on May 8, 1927, in Logan, W.Va., she was the daughter of the late Gib and Rosa Mae Ray Damron. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers; and two sisters. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family in her generation. She is survived by her husband of 49 years, George Ratliff McCloud; one son, Ira Thomas McCloud of Pounding Mill; one daughter, Doris Mae Damron of Richlands; four grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 18, 2002, in the Singleton Funeral Chapel in Cedar Bluff with Rev. Phillip Horton officiating. Burial will follow in the Russell Memorial Cemetery at Lebanon. Pallbearers will be family. The family will receive friends at Singleton Funeral Service in Cedar Bluff from 6-9 p.m. Tuesday. The Singleton Funeral Service is serving the McCloud family.
