Born Jan. 6, 1917, in Swords Creek, she was a daughter of the late Walter Douglas and Lucille Turner Richardson. A lifelong resident of the Swords Creek area, she was the longest attending member of the Swords Creek Pentecostal Holiness Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Bazzie Swanson Miller; two brothers, Woodrow Richardson and Arnold Richardson; three sisters, Mary Richardson, Marie Perkins and Pansy Whited; one grandson, Jason Honaker; and one great-grandson, Devin Hubbard. Survivors include three sons, Guy T. Miller, James Miller and Dwight Miller, all of Swords Creek; four daughters, Mrs. Darlene Hubbard and Mrs. Shirley Honaker, both of Honaker, Mrs. Brenda Miller of Rosedale, Va., and Mrs. Bonnie Plaster of Swords Creek; two sisters, Mrs. Bertha Miller and Mrs. Bessie Richardson, both of Swords Creek; three brothers, Paul Richardson, Perry Richardson and Donald Richardson, all of Swords Creek; 12 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday in the Honaker Funeral Home Chapel, Honaker, with Rev. Carl Robinson officiating. Interment will follow in Greenhills Memory Gardens at Claypool Hill, Va. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Carl White and Herbert Mays. The family wishes to extend their heartfelt thanks to care givers, Ann Dye, Carolyn Dye and Sue Dye. Friends may call at the Honaker Funeral Home after 6 p.m. Thursday.
