Kent Minton
    POUNDING MILL -- Kent Minton, 64, died Wednesday, Nov. 27, 2002, in Clinch
Valley Medical Center, Richlands.
    He was born in Russell County, Va.,. the son of the late Charlie and
Nannie Jessee Minton. He was a member of Castlerun Baptist Church in
Castlewood and was preceded in death by 14 brothers and sisters.
    He is survived by his wife, Judy Minton; one daughter, Gale Jackson and
husband Mark of Pounding Mill; two grandchildren, Elizabeth Jackson and
Alexander Jackson; one sister, Mary Lou Duple of St. Paul; and several nieces
and nephews. 
    Funeral services will be conducted at Castlewood Funeral Home Chapel,
Castlewood, on Friday, Nov. 29, 2002, at 8 p.m. with the Rev. Elwood Hall and
the Rev. Bill Crawford officiating. Committal services will be held at 11 a.m.
Saturday, Nov. 30, 2002, in Temple Hill Memorial Park, Castlewood. The family
will meet at the funeral home and go in procession to the cemetery leaving at
10:30 a.m. Saturday. Nephews will serve as pallbearers.
    The family will receive friends on Friday, Nov. 29,. 2002, from 6 until 8
p.m. in Castlewood Funeral Home Chapel, Castlewood. Condolences may be sent to
