Bristol Herald Courier Wednesday, November 27, 2002 Maridelle Porter CASTLEWOOD -- Maridelle Porter, 75, died Monday, Nov. 25, 2002, at Grace Healthcare Nursing Home in Abingdon. She was born in Castlewood and was the daughter of the late Everett and Alice Henderson Fields. She was a retired medical technologist of Lebanon General Hospital. She was a member of Fort Gibson United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, J.L. Porter III. She is survived by one son, John L. Porter IV and wife, Georgia of Bluff City; two grandchildren, Travis Porter and Ashley Porter; one brother, William Fields and wife Rama of Gainesville, Fla.; special friend, Polly Church of Abingdon; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held in Castlewood Funeral Home Chapel in Castlewood on Wednesday, Nov. 27, 2002, at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Jeff Taylor officiating. Interment will be in Temple Hill Memorial Park, Castlewood. Pallbearers will be men from Fort Gibson United Methodist Church. The Porter family will receive friends at Castlewood Funeral Home, Castlewood, on Wednesday, Nov. 27, 2002, from 10 a.m. till time of service.
