She was a native of Dickenson County and a daughter of the late Sam and Martha Duty Jackson. She was the widow of Evans Puckett and was also preceded in death by two sisters, Thelma Malley and Ruth Miles; and an infant brother. She was of the Baptist faith, was retired from Hamilton Ohio Public Schools and was a member of the DAV and Postal Workers Auxiliary. Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, Eugene and Rita Puckett, Fairfield, and Jack and Patricia Puckett, Angel Fire, N.M.; and grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Funeral service will be conducted 11 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 26, 2002, in the Chapel of Love, Temple Hill Memorial Park, Castlewood, with Elder Franklin Viers officiating. Burial will follow in the Temple Hill Memorial Park. Haysi Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
