She was born in Russell County, Va., on June 3, 1904, to the late George and Cosby Hubbard. She had lived most of her life in Washington County, Va. She was a member of the Reynolds Memorial United Methodist Church. Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Henry L. Rose; and a daughter, Ethel Cuddy. She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Trula Weaver of Bristol Virginia, and Mrs. Elinor Richards of Blountville; and five grandchildren, Jane Cuddy, Roger Cuddy, Alan Weaver, Brenda Richards and Mark Weaver. A funeral service will be conducted Thursday, Jan. 2, 2003, at 8 p.m. in the Farris Funeral Chapel with Rev. Dr. Tony Collins officiating. A committal service will be held at 1 p.m. Friday in the Russell Memorial Cemetery in Lebanon. The family will receive friends from 7-8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Alan Weaver, Roger Cuddy, Ralph Jackson, Clifford Kiser, J.T. Kelly and Tim Kelly. Family and friends are to meet at the cemetery before the service on Friday.
