Rance L. Slate

LEBANON -- Rance L. (June) Slate, 75, passed away on Friday, Feb. 14, 2003, at 
Russell County Medical Center. Mr. Slate was born on Feb. 7, 1928, in Russell 
County, Va.,. the son of the late Rance and Gussie Thomas Slate. He was also 
preceded in death by six brothers, Hernie, Bob, Jim, Calvin and Alvin Slate; 
and sisters, Norma, Helen and Gussie.

He is survived by one sister, Naomi Ruth St.Clair of Lebanon; and several 
nieces and nephews also survive.

Nephews will serve as pallbearers.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, Feb. 18, 2003, at 1 p.m. at Owens 
Funeral Service Chapel with Rev. Austin Fields and Rev. Duane Musick 
officiating. Interment will follow at Russell Memorial Cemetery, Lebanon.

Family will receive friends on Monday after 6 p.m. at the funeral home.

     LEBANON -- Funeral services for Rance L. (June) Slate Jr. will be held on 
Tuesday, Feb. 18, 2003, at 1 p.m. at Owens Funeral Service Chapel with Rev. 
Austin Fields and Rev. Duane Musick officiating. Interment will follow at 
Russell Memorial Cemetery, Lebanon.
     Mr. Slate, 75, passed away on Friday, Feb. 14, 2003, at Russell County 
Medical Center.
